The financial equilibrium (“financial health”) of the enterprises is a prerequisite for their sustainable development, which ensures macroeconomic stability of the economy and the welfare of the state. It should be supported by the banking system, which fulfills the function of effective reallocation of capital. Recently, the Ukrainian banking system itself is in a problem and is undergoing a period of transformation. The purpose of the study is to assess how sufficiently the banking system of Ukraine performs the task of supporting the financial equilibrium of enterprises and to find the possibilities to strengthen its role in the progress of the real sector of economy. The authors distinguish three stages of financial equilibrium growth; each of them can be supported by the relevant banking services. The empirical analysis proves that the Ukrainian banks successfully ensure only the first stage that is liquidity balancing. For the quantitative assessment of the role the banking system in supporting the enterprises’ financial equilibrium there is used multivariate regression applying mathematical gnostic analysis in the program shell R Console. The research makes it possible to find out that only monetization of the economy, share of time deposits of economic entities and growth rate of mortgage loans have a positive effect. The authors conclude that the problems of both enterprises and banking system are in the sphere of development and implementation of government economic policy and are aggravated by the restrictive monetary policy

Фінансова рівновага ("фінансове здоров'я") підприємств є необхідною умовою їх сталого розвитку, що забезпечує макроекономічну стабільність економіки та добробут держави. Він повинен підтримуватися банківською системою, яка виконує функцію ефективного перерозподілу капіталу. Останнім часом українська банківська система перебуває в проблемі і переживає період трансформації. Мета дослідження - оцінити, наскільки в достатній мірі банківська система України виконує завдання підтримки фінансової рівноваги підприємств та знайти можливості посилити її роль у прогресі реального сектора економіки. Автори виділяють три стадії зростання фінансової рівноваги; кожен з них може бути підтриманий відповідними банківськими службами. Емпіричний аналіз свідчить про те, що українські банки успішно забезпечують лише перший етап - збалансування ліквідності. Для кількісної оцінки ролі банківської системи у підтримці фінансової рівноваги підприємств використовується багатоваріантна регресія з використанням математичного гностичного аналізу в оболонці програми R Console. Дослідження дає змогу з’ясувати, що позитивна дія має лише монетизація економіки, частка строкових депозитів суб’єктів господарювання та темпи зростання іпотечних кредитів. Автори роблять висновок, що проблеми як підприємств, так і банківської системи знаходяться у сфері розробки та реалізації державної економічної політики та посилюються обмежувальною грошово-кредитною політикою
