Preservation of the nation’s cultural code is a very urgent issue. This issue is especially acute during armed conflicts. Today, during the russian-Ukrainian war, Ukraine is losing its outstanding historical and cultural heritage of cities. One such city is Kharkiv, which concentrates significant cultural, economic and industrial potential. It has an exceptional historical and architectural environment, formed by famous architects of different eras, including the late 19th –early 20th centuries. For Ukraine in the conditions of the russianUkrainian war, as a state with a rich and unique cultural heritage, the issue of developing effective mechanisms and methods for preserving historical heritage is very urgent. It is extremely important to form a register and photograph destroyed and damaged monuments, use modern technologies to preserve historical and architectural heritage at least in digital format for future generations; monitor losses and damage using satellite images; training of professional specialists. It is important to explore the world’s experience in resolving these issues in situations of armed conflict.

Збереження культурного коду нації є вельми актуальним питанням. Особливо гостро це питання стоїть під час зброєних конфліктів. Сьогодні у ході російсько-української війни Україна втрачає видатну історико-культурну спадщину. Одним з таких міст є Харків, що майже щоденно потерпає від обстрілів, та є вагомим містом для України, в якому зосереджено значний культурний, економічний та промисловий потенціал. Місто має видатне історико-архітектурне середовище, що сформоване відомими зодчими різних епох, в тому числі кін. ХІХ – поч. ХХ ст. Для України в умовах російсько-української війни, як держави з багатою й унікальною культурною спадщиною, є вельми актуальним питання вироблення дієвих механізмів та методик збереження історичної спадщини. Надважливим є формування реєстру та фотофіксація знищених та зруйнованих пам’яток, використання сучасних технологій для збереження історико-архітектурної спадщини хоча б у цифровому форматі для наступних поколінь; моніторинг втрат та пошкоджень за допомогою супутникових знімків; підготовка профільних фахівців. Також важливо дослідити світовий досвід у ситуаціях збройних конфліктів.
